Ferguson Museum

In collaboration with The Galleries at Moore and the U School, I guest taught a high school class about museum exhibition planning and design. Our goal was to develop a plan and design for The Ferguson Museum. Which will tell the story of the past, present, and future of the students and the building that they occupy. 

Ferguson Elementary was shut down in 2013 along with 24 other schools in the Philadelphia School District. The following year, Ferguson reopened as The U School. The Ferguson Museum documents the history of school closings, the issues with the schools and the students that once attended. It serves as a gathering place for current students and community members alike. It provides opportunities for visitors to get involved in current issues, to make the Philadelphia School District better for future students.
